The Third Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC 2020) will be held online on October 19-23, 2020. The objective of the conference is to strengthen a regional dialogue on climate change and sustainable development through the information and knowledge exchange in Central Asia. You can get more detailed information on the CACCC-2020 here.


A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to Dilovarsho Dustzoda, Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. He will participate as a panellist in the session “Kicking-off climate actions in national policies and transitioning to a green economy” on the first day of CACCC 2020, October 19, 2020.

Dilovasho Dustzoda - Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan since June 2020. Mr. Dustzoda is the national focal point of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan with the World Meteorological Organization. Before the appointment as the Director of the Agency for Hydrometeorology, he worked as the Director of the National Biodiversity and Biosafety Center of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

After the graduation from the Tajik National University in 2003, Mr. Duszoda worked in various positions in the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan. He is a member of the COP-MOP Bureau under the Convention on Biological Diversity representing Central and Eastern Europe.
