The President of the Republic of Uzbekistan's Decree on measures to further improve the Center of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan was issued.
It approves:
- Concept for the development of the hydrometeorological service of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020-2025;
- "Roadmap" for the implementation of the concept of development of the hydrometeorological service of the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2021-2022;
- A program to expand and automate the observation network of the Center of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
A special focus in this decree is placed on the development of digital technologies to increase forecasting accuracy.
Irina Bekmirzaeva, CAMP4ASB Project Manager: "For Uzbekistan, two mobile environmental laboratories, as well as fifty automatic weather stations, have already been purchased and handed over to the disposal of Uzbekistan. It is planned to purchase one more ecological laboratory and an aerological station. These activities contribute to the expansion and automatization of the observation network of the Center of the Hydrometeorological Service of the Republic of Uzbekistan and fully comply with the provisions specified in the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. "
