Gaps and opportunities for climate mitigation and adaptation on global level

Natalia Alexeeva, presents main findings of the two recent UN reports on global emissions and adaptation efforts and gaps. The UNEP Emissions Gap Report 2017 provides an assessment of current national mitigation efforts and the ambitions countries have presented in their Nationally Determined Contributions, which form the foundation of the Paris Agreement. The Adaptation Gap Report 2017 report focuses on issues relating to frameworks, comprising concepts, methodologies and data.
