Dastan Abdyldaev - speaker of CACCC-2021

The Fourth Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2021) will be held on July 26-27, 2021, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The conference will be conducted as a mix of in-person and virtual meetings.

The objective of the conference is to strengthen the regional dialogue, information and knowledge exchange in order to support climate-resilient evidence-based decision-making systems, as well as to explore the possibilities to ensure the synergy in climate projects implementation between international finance organizations and the development agencies in Central Asia.

A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers and moderators of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to Dastan Abdyldaev, Director of the Climate Finance Center, State Committee on Ecology and Climate of the Kyrgyz Republic. He will be a speaker at the thematic session dedicated to climate financing.


Speaker

Dastan Abdyldaev is the director of the Climate Finance Center under the State Committee on Ecology and Climate of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Mr. Abdyldaev was educated in various specialties at the European University Institute, Florence, Italy (2020-2021), University of London Burkeback (2019-2020), Syracuse University, New York, USA (2017-2018), Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan (2013-2015), International Academy of Management, Law, Finance and Business of the Kyrgyz Republic (1999-2004).

Prior to his current role at the Climate Finance Center, he held the following positions:

  • From 2005 to 2007, he was Assistant Minister of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  • From 2007 to 2008, he served as Assistant to the Vice Prime Minister of the Kyrgyz Republic, Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  • From 2008 to 2010, he was an expert in the Department of Organizational Work and Public Administration Policy in the President’s Administration of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  • From 2010 to 2013, he held the position of an expert in the Department of Regional Development and Monitoring, Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  • From 2015 to 2017, he was an expert in the Department of Economics and Investments, Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.

  • From 2018 to 2019, he worked as an expert in the Department of Organizational and Inspection Work and Regional Development, Office of the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
