The Fourth Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2021) will be held on July 26-27, 2021, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The conference will be conducted as a mix of in-person and virtual meetings.
The objective of the conference is to strengthen the regional dialogue, information and knowledge exchange in order to support climate-resilient evidence-based decision-making systems, as well as to explore the possibilities to ensure the synergy in climate projects implementation between international finance organizations and the development agencies in Central Asia.
A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers and moderators of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to Davlatshoh Gulmahmadzoda, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan. He will make a welcoming speech at High-level segment dedicated to 20 years experience of regional cooperation and dialogue on Environment and Sustainable Development.
Gulmahmadzoda Davlatshoh Qurbonali is the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan.
About his academic merits. In 1987 he graduated from the Tashkent Institute of Irrigation and Agricultural Mechanization with a degree in Constructing Engineer, and in 2007 graduated from the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Russian Federation with a degree in State and Local Administration. Candidate of Economic Sciences.
He began his working career in 1978 as a worker at the Collective Farm name after Lenin in the Danghara district; until 1995 he worked as a Senior Surveying Engineer in the Komsomolobod district, Chairman of the Committee for Nature Protection in the Danghara district and Chairman of the Committee for Nature Protection in the Khatlon region.
From 1995 to 2001, he served as Deputy Minister of Nature Protection of the Republic of Tajikistan and Chairman of the Land Resource and Land Management Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
From 2001 to 2008, he held a position of Chairman of the State Committee on Land Management of the Republic of Tajikistan and Director of the Agency for Land Management, Geodesy and Cartography under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
From 2008 to 2010, he held a position of Deputy Chairman of the Sughd region, and from 2010 to 2013, he held a position of Chairman of Tursunzoda city.
From 2013 to 2019, he held a position of Chairman of the Khatlon region.
In 2019-2020, he held a position of Chairman of the Committee for Environmental Protection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated February 14, 2020, he was appointed the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan.
By the decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan dated November 3, 2020, in connection with the formation of the new government, he was appointed the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan.
In addition, it should be noted that, in 2006, Davlatshoh Gulmakhmadzoda was awarded the Sharaf Order of the 1st degree.
