Reimagine, recreate, restore - under this motto the world celebrates World Environment Day on June 5, 2021.
This motto means that everyone can contribute to the restoration of ecosystems by rethinking their way of life, changing their behavior, and starting to act: to green their areas of residence, not to litter, to use natural resources sparingly.
World Environment Day is intended to remind us of the importance of preserving the nature that gives us all life. Symbolically, on this day, June 5, Ecologist Day is also celebrated.
The Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia (CAREC) work is based on the principle of uniting all parties and forces in the name of preserving and restoring the environment. We support Central Asian countries in addressing their national and regional environmental concerns. For this purpose, we provide the platform for interstate and multisectoral dialogue allowing the introduction of cutting edge know-how, knowledge and technologies in the region. This, in turn, promotes the deployment and application of innovative environmental policies, approaches and techniques, involvement of the public in environmental decision-making, and improvement of information exchange on the regional level.
The Regional Environmental Center for Central Asia congratulates representatives of the Central Asian government agencies, donors, partners, and all those involved in the great and complex work of preserving ecosystems and taking care of natural resources with World Environment Day and Ecologist Day.
