The Fourth Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2021) will be held on July 26-27, 2021, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The conference will be conducted as a mix of in-person and virtual meetings.
The objective of the conference is to strengthen the regional dialogue, information and knowledge exchange in order to support climate-resilient evidence-based decision-making systems, as well as to explore the possibilities to ensure the synergy in climate projects implementation between international finance organizations and the development agencies in Central Asia.
A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers and moderators of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to Daniyar Erenchinov, a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “NJSC “International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center”. He will be a speaker at the thematic session dedicated to climate financing.
Erenchinov Daniyar Kagazbekovich is a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the “NJSC “International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center”.
Erenchinov Daniyar Kagazbekovich has a degree in management and law. He has the scientific degrees of Candidate of Technical Sciences and Doctor of Technical Sciences. Besides, he has received state awards, honorary titles, and has wide experience in business.
From 2012 to 2014, he was the head of the Committee for Environmental Regulation and Control of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the Republic of Kazakhstan; he was directly involved in the development of the concept for the transition of the Republic of Kazakhstan to a "Green Economy". Also, he was the head of the NC JSC "State Corporation "Government for Citizens"” during its formation.
Moreover, on May 21, 2020, he was elected as a Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Non-Commercial Joint Stock Company “International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center”.
The International Green Technologies Center is a subordinate organization of the Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The mission of “NJSC “International Green Technologies and Investment Projects Center” is to promote green technologies and support businesses to increase the competitiveness of the economy, the quality of life of the population and reduce the negative impact on the environment.
The main areas of his professional activity include building the potential for green growth, developing "green" business and mechanisms for attracting green financing, commercialization, transfer and adaptation of the best green technologies and scientific results in various sectors of the economy.
