The Fourth Central Asia Climate Change Conference (CACCC-2021) will be held on July 26-27, 2021, in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. The conference will be conducted as a mix of in-person and virtual meetings.

The objective of the conference is to strengthen the regional dialogue, information and knowledge exchange in order to support climate-resilient evidence-based decision-making systems, as well as to explore the possibilities to ensure the synergy in climate projects implementation between international finance organisations and the development agencies in Central Asia.

A series of our publications will be dedicated to the speakers and moderators of the upcoming event. And, today, we would like to introduce you to Quentin Moreau, Regional Director for Central Asia, NGO "GERES" (France). He will be a speaker at the CACCC-2021 thematic session on climate policy and role civil society.


Speaker

Quentin Moreau - Regional Director for Central Asia, at Geres –Acting for Climate Solidarity INGO. Senior Development Professional, Quentin Moreau was appointed Central Asia Regional Director for Geres – Acting for Climate Solidarity INGO in 2019.

Based in Dushanbe, he is supervising international development programmes in the fields of access to energy, energy efficiency, renewables and climate – energy policies mainstreaming in Mongolia, Tajikistan and Afghanistan.

He has previously contributed to building meaningful programmes & teams for several INGOs in Mongolia (AVSF, People in Need, Mercy Corps), serving the needs and best interests of its civil society and peoples.

Looking tiredlessly at linking research with practictioners’ experience, he has renewed recently an academic collaboration with the Oxford University Silk Road Society think tank on the co-definition of sustainability frameworks around BRI projects and countries.

Keen advocate of climate justice, he has hands on experience in matters related to resources management, land use, value chain development, energy, governance, education & climate related policies.
